Entropy 2026 Wraps-Up: Quantum Information and Complex Systems in Barcelona Explored

The Entropy 2026 Conference, the third edition organized by MDPI’s Entropy journal, took place from July 1 to 3, 2026, in Barcelona, Spain. It featured sessions on quantum information, quantum computing, complex systems, statistical physics, thermodynamics, and AI applications, with nearly 20 keynote presentations from leading researchers. Over 200 participants from institutions including the University of Cambridge, Princeton University, and Eindhoven University of Technology attended, presenting more than 100 accepted submissions. The event included poster sessions, networking opportunities, an award ceremony, and a closing banquet, and was described as a wonderful success. Participants were invited to submit papers to a special issue of Entropy with a 20% APC discount or to Physical Sciences Forum proceedings free of charge.

Entropy 2026 Conference to Feature Dedicated Quantum Information and Quantum Computing Session in Barcelona

The third edition of the Entropy 2026 Conference will be held at the Barcelona School of Management from July 1 to 3, 2026. Chaired by Professors Miguel Rubi and Kevin H. Knuth, it features a prominent Session 3 on Quantum Information and Quantum Computing on the first day. The session includes keynotes by Ariel Caticha, Eli Barkai, and Stefano Mancini on topics such as entropic quantum gravity, monitored quantum systems, and quantum neuron capacity, along with several oral presentations and poster contributions. The compact in-person format with poster sessions and a banquet creates strong conditions for direct exchanges and potential collaborations. Registration closes June 15, 2026.
