Unitary Quantum Secures Several Hundred Million Yuan Series A to Scale QCCD Ion-Trap Systems

Hefei-based Unitary Quantum, China’s only pure-play QCCD trapped-ion company, has raised several hundred million yuan in Series A financing led by Shenzhen Capital Group. The round, completed less than four months after Pre-A, includes joint investment from social-security fund vehicles and a broad syndicate of market and industrial investors. Proceeds will accelerate R&D on quantum advantage, error correction, and full-stack capabilities. The company has already delivered systems, reported Quantum Volume 32, and achieved domestic firsts in cryogenic chip-trap ion confinement and transport.

IonQ Advances Quantum Co-Design with Sandia and Launches Tennessee Quantum Communications Center with EPB

IonQ has signed an MOU with Sandia National Laboratories to accelerate quantum co-design for national security applications at the Quantum Demonstration Facility while simultaneously launching the Tennessee Quantum Communications Research Center with EPB. The latter is funded by a five-year $15 million (€13.0 million) commitment and will house the first commercial Quantum Memory on a live fiber network. The initiatives expand IonQ’s New Mexico national-laboratory presence and deepen its Chattanooga commercial networking footprint. Assail Signs Qanapi to 5-Year $4.1M Contract for Autonomous Red Teaming and Post-Quantum Encryption​

Assail, Inc. has signed Qanapi Group, Inc. to a five-year contract valued at $4.125 million (€3.58 million). Qanapi will operate Assail’s Reaper autonomous AI platform for continuous red teaming inside its FedRAMP Class D (High) and DoD IL4-aligned cloud. In return, Assail will deploy Qanapi’s full Karst post-quantum encryption platform and FIPS 140-3 modules. The reciprocal arrangement emphasizes AI and data sovereignty while supporting federal post-quantum cryptography mandates under Executive Order 14412 and OMB M-26-15.
