Shanghai-based TuringQ (Shanghai Turing Intelligence Computing Quantum Technology Co., Ltd.), a photonic quantum computing company, entered initial public offering tutoring* with the Shanghai branch of the China Securities Regulatory Commission on August 5, 2026. Founded on February 19, 2021, by Professor Jin Xianmin of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, TuringQ has raised nearly 1 billion yuan ($140 million) in 2026. Photonic Chip Fabrication and Systems
TuringQ focuses on the design and manufacture of photonic quantum chips together with quantum computing system integration. Its technology centers on thin-film lithium niobate (LNOI) photonic chips and femtosecond laser direct-write three-dimensional photonic circuits.
In June 2025, a photonic pilot production line in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, in which TuringQ participated alongside the Shanghai Jiao Tong University Wuxi Photonic Chip Research Institute (CHIPX), began operation. The line supports wafer-scale manufacturing of LNOI chips designed to integrate thousands of optical components on a single chip and shortens research and development cycles.

Shanghai Siliang Quantum Technology is the controlling shareholder with a 34.10 percent stake. The company is classified under computer, communications, and other electronic equipment manufacturing. Funds raised in 2026 are earmarked for advancing practical photonic quantum computers, developing quantum algorithm ecosystems, and expanding quantum-powered intelligent computing infrastructure.
TuringQ joins other Chinese quantum firms in the IPO pipeline, including Origin Quantum, which began STAR Market tutoring in 2025, and additional players that completed tutoring registrations in 2026. In April 2026 the Shanghai Stock Exchange added quantum technology as a subcategory of strategic emerging industries under STAR Market rules, clarifying the listing pathway.
An industry expert noted the sector is shifting from pure research and early-stage financing toward commercialization, although large-scale industrial adoption remains limited and revenue is currently concentrated in specialized quantum computing and cloud services. The company reports commercial engagements with domestic operators and institutions across telecommunications, power, finance, and other sectors, together with software-hardware compatibility work involving domestic GPU providers.
