LUMI AI Factory booked IQM’s Halocene path in Kajaani for 150 physical qubits in 2027 and as many as 9 logical qubits on H5 in 2029, while Cloudflare began validating 2,420-byte ML-DSA-44 DNSSEC on 1.1.1.1. Alice & Bob Joins €4.6 Million QuBriC Network for Quantum Error Correction Doctoral Training

Alice & Bob has joined QuBriC, Europe’s first doctoral network entirely dedicated to quantum error correction. The €4.6 million Horizon Europe programme will train 15 doctoral researchers across 16 universities and seven quantum companies. The collaboration brings cat-qubit expertise into a full-stack effort to bridge classical coding theory and quantum information science.

ZuriQ Raises $25.5M Seed Round Led by Quantonation to Scale Native 2D Trapped-Ion Quantum Architecture

ZuriQ, the ETH Zürich spin-out developing native two-dimensional trapped-ion processors, has raised $25.5 million (€22.4 million) in a Quantonation-led seed round. The financing follows a 2025 pre-seed and includes Forward.one, Extantia, Firgun Ventures, and prior backers. A working 3×3 array of nine ions has already been demonstrated with Infineon-fabricated chips. Proceeds will expand the team and accelerate fabrication toward hundreds of qubits on a single chip.
