The Qubit Report: September 17, 2026

Anderon finalized a $1 billion CHIPS award for its Albany 300-millimeter quantum foundry as IBM stacked another $1 billion behind the same line. The same cycle closed a real-time QEC loop inside 12 microseconds, put constrained compilers on IBM’s catalog, and opened a Department of Energy contest worth up to $215 million for 100 logical qubits. Commercial terms, latency tables, survey splits, and the four PQC clocks that still disagree are in the links. Get all of this and more in today’s The Qubit Report.

The Qubit Report: September 16, 2026

Anderon, an IBM company, finalized a $1 billion U.S. CHIPS award for its Albany 300-millimeter quantum wafer foundry, matched by another $1 billion from IBM. The same news cycle closed a real-time error-correction control loop, put compilers on IBM’s catalog, and showed spin-qubit gates on a commercial FD-SOI chip. The wrap-up collects the contracts, latency numbers, survey results, and PQC deadlines the board will ask about next.
